Cindy McAlpin, Client Patient Director
Client-Patient Director Cynthia McAlpin has worked with clients and their pets at Starkville Veterinary Hospital since 2003. Her responsibilities include discharging patients, sending reminders, conducting follow-ups and checking in patients. She loves working hands-on with pets.
"We treat all pets like they are family," says Cindy. "We have excellent veterinarians and staff that genuinely care for the patients."
When she's not at the hospital, Cindy enjoys cooking with friends, decorating, gardening and spending time with her pets. Her animal companions include three cats, Sammy, Gus and Sister; and three dogs, Ty, Luke and Choco.
Ranae Sisk, Office Manager
Ranae Sisk is the Office Manager at Starkville Veterinary Hospital. Having been a member of the Starkville Veterinary Hospital staff for more than 30 years, she is proud of the professional, compassionate care the hospital staff and veterinarians offer to pets. Ranae earned an Associate's Degree from Wood College in Mathiston, Mississippi in 1986, and a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and Merchandising from Mississippi State University in 1988.
"I'm very proud of the excellent professional and compassionate care our doctors and staff offer to our clients and their pets," says Ranae. "Our motto: “We care about the pets you love,” is a very true statement."
Ranae's hobbies include shopping, interior decorating, baking and singing. She loves spending time with her husband, Stanley, and their son, Jeb. She has a Red Heeler Mix named Lizzie.
Allie Fletcher, Receptionist
Allie Fletcher joined the team at Starkville Veterinary Hospital in August 2016. As the hospital's Receptionist, she is responsible for welcoming clients and their pets to the practice, answering phones, and preparing records. Allie's favorite part of the job is seeing all the different cats and dogs that walk through the hospital's doors. Her computer savviness and fun-loving personality make her a great addition to the staff.
"I enjoy the people I work with," Allie says. "We all just get along really well. I also just love getting up to interact with animals all day long."
At home, Allie has a chocolate lab named Cypress. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, crappie fishing, deer hunting, cooking and taking her dogs swimming.
Sydney Tamashiro, Technician
Sydney has been working with Starkville Veterinary Hospital as a Technician since July of 2018. She previously worked at the hospital as a Kennel Technician in 2016. Sydney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University.
Sydney’s pet family includes two cats: Aiko, which means “little love,” and Tsuki, which means “moon.” She also has a dog named Clover.
Alison Linch, Veterinary Technician/Kennel Technician
Allison joined the staff at Starkville Veterinary Hospital in May of 2017 as a Kennel Technician. She is now working part time as a Veterinary Technician as well. Alison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Science with a minor in Microbiology from Mississippi State University.
Alison is engaged to be married to Felicia Stewart. Their pet family includes three cats Bones, Delilah, Khaleesi and one dog named Bo.
Emma Lue Wilcox, Veterinary Technician
Emma Lue Willcox is our bubbly and energetic veterinary technician from Collierville, Tennessee and we are delighted to have her working with us at Starkville Veterinary Hospital.
Emma began working at Starkville Veterinary Hospital in January, 2019. Ms. Wilcox has spent the last 4 years gaining skills in the veterinary industry, having previously worked as a kennel technician for Collierville Animal Clinic and a veterinary technician for The Pet Hospitals.
Emma has earned different certifications in the veterinary field including a Fear Free certification, Proheart 6 certification, parasite counselor certification and canine heartworm disease certification. She is also continuing her education at Penn Foster, where she is earning her veterinarian technician associate's degree.
Ms. Wilcox enjoys taking care of your pet’s needs, takes pride in building relationships with clients and patients, and loves working with her coworkers. “It's like a second family. Everyone Is so welcoming/ The clients are wonderful,” said Emma.
When she is not busy aiding patients at the hospital, Ms. Wilcox cares for her 3 dogs (Apatchie, Sprinter and Ellie Mae), 2 cats (Jessie and Rosie), and her 8 chickens. In her spare time, Emma loves outdoor activities including horseback riding, hiking, fishing. She also enjoys practicing photography, weightlifting, and spending quality time with her friends and family members.
